About Us
Built by people who actually work in insurance.
Mint was started inside a working independent insurance agency in El Paso, Texas. It is the system we wanted on our own desks, built for every agency and MGA that is tired of working around its software.

Where Mint is built
Where Mint comes from
It started at an agency desk, not in a pitch deck.
Before Mint was software, it was the daily work of an independent agency: quotes, renewals, non-pay cancellations, endorsements, and clients who call in English, text in Spanish, or both.
The tools for that work were spread across systems that didn’t talk to each other, and some of them hadn’t really changed in years. So we started building a more modern operating system for agencies, and for the MGAs they work with.
The problems we kept running into
- 01The renewal nobody called about.
- 02The cancellation found a day too late.
- 03The dec page retyped for the third time.
- 04The client’s text sitting on a personal phone.
- 05The report rebuilt in a spreadsheet every month.
None of these are insurance problems. They are software problems.
What we believe
Five things we won’t trade away.
- 01
The work comes first.
Screens follow the order of an agency’s day, not the shape of the database behind them.
- 02
One client, one record.
Policies, money, documents and conversations belong in the same place, for everyone on the team.
- 03
Say what’s finished.
If something is still in development, we say so, on this site and inside the product.
- 04
Two languages, both first.
English and Spanish on every screen, because that is how the border works.
- 05
Access is checked, not hidden.
Who sees agency money is decided by roles, and Mint checks them on every request.
Made on the border
Texas and New Mexico. English and Spanish. Often in the same call.
Agencies here serve families who switch languages mid-sentence. Mint was bilingual from the first screen, and so are the automatic replies your clients get when they text STOP or PARAR.
- PolicyPóliza
- PremiumPrima
- EndorsementEndoso
- RenewalRenovación
- QuoteCotización
- ClaimReclamo
How we build
With agencies, in the open, in two languages.
With agencies
Early access agencies get features first and tell us what is wrong with them. What we build next comes from their desks.
In the open
Every page on this site marks what is available, what is in early access and what is still in development.
Bilingual from day one
Every screen an agency uses comes in English and Spanish, and so do the text replies its clients get.
For the phone, too
Owners work from a tablet and producers sell from a phone, so every screen is checked at phone size before it ships.
Where we are
